Projects

This page lists projects that are smartphone DAQ (data acquisition) related. It may involve smartphones and DAQ directly or PC and DAQ. For PC and DAQ projects, it should be possible to port the solution to a smartphone eventually.

Since these are community projects, we encourage users to provide ideas for projects as we assume that the specifier of the project need not be the same as the solution provider. And the specifiers and developers may not be even individuals but rather groups with common needs and complementary skill sets

Remote Alarm using EMANT380 and Windows Mobile
Using the EMANT380 driver for Windows Mobile 6 to provide a remote alarm. You can install this alarm system anywhere there is mobile network coverage.

Accelerometer
Using a 3 axis accelerometer, pitch and roll are measured and displayed as an avionics instrument. In biomedical electronics, a goniometer may be created which could be used to help determine the range of motion in bending the knee, or bending at the waist for example.

Magnetic Compass
Demonstrates how an electronic compass is constructed. The Python language is used running on Win XP using the pygame library. Although an avionics instruments is shown in the example, it could also be a novel human machine interface (HMI) to a Python Snake or Pacman game.
